Nami Island Day Trip from Seoul

We visited Nami Island in May 2023, and it was such a peaceful escape from the city. Even though most people recommend going in autumn, we went in spring and still loved every corner of it.

To keep things simple, we booked our Nami Island entry ticket via Klook, and went DIY style from there. No tours, no guides — just us exploring at our own pace.

We took a taxi from our stay near Ewha in Myeongdong to Cheongnyangni Station, then hopped on the subway train all the way to Gapyeong Station. From there, we transferred to the shuttle bus heading to the Nami Island ferry terminal.

It was all very straightforward, and the Naver Map app helped us navigate everything easily, highly recommend downloading it before your trip.

If you want a more relaxed ride, you can also take the ITX train, which offers a bit more comfort and fewer transfers.

Once you arrive at the Gapyeong Wharf, you’ll take a short ferry ride (around 5–10 minutes) to reach Nami Island. The Klook mobile voucher was accepted at the gate — no need to line up for physical tickets.

Nami Island is an aesthetic paradise in every corner. Seriously, your camera roll will thank you.

We loved strolling through the famous Metasequoia tree lanes. It's one of the most iconic spots and perfect for that "main character" energy.

The wooden boardwalks by the river are also so serene, especially with the reflection of trees on the water. It’s peaceful and picturesque.

Of course, if you're into K-dramas, Winter Sonata fans will instantly recognize the memorial statue and filming spots around the island. It adds a nostalgic charm to your visit.

Don't forget to stop by the Korean traditional houses surrounded by lush gardens, especially if you’re visiting in spring or fall. The colors are stunning. 🍁

There are several cafés and restaurants on Nami Island, offering a mix of Korean and international dishes. We grabbed a quick lunch here before heading to the Garden of Morning Calm.

Booking via Klook made it so convenient. We simply showed our mobile voucher at the ferry terminal. No need to print anything or wait in long queues.

It’s also easy to DIY, especially with your Klook ticket ready on your phone.
